New movement system

Treyarch raises the bar for Call of Duty social gaming experiences, offering a Campaign that allows for cooperative play with up to four players online, using the same network infrastructure and social systems that support battles in the beloved Multiplayer and Zombies modes.

Designed for co-op and replayability, it will offer players all the epic, cinematic moments that Call of Duty is known for, as well as a new style of gameplay with elements such as open areas and arena-style combat, designed specifically to offer the possibility of approaching the game with a different strategy every time. Additionally, each player is now fully customizable: from weapons and equipment to skills and aesthetics, all with full progression systems and a personalized armory to show off your achievements, thus offering a constantly evolving campaign experience.

Get ready for the next level of multiplayer

With Black Ops III, Treyarch introduces a new chained, action-based movement system, allowing players to move fluidly through the environment, using jumps, slides, and leaps in multiple combinations, all while maintaining full and constant control of their weapon. Maps have been designed from the ground up specifically for this new movement system, allowing players to win with both traditional movement and experiment with new tactics and advanced maneuvers.

Black Ops III Multiplayer also introduces the new Specialist character system, offering players the opportunity to progress and master the combat skills and weapons of each of these unique characters. With this addition to the traditional XP level and weapon progression systems, Black Ops III Multiplayer provides players with three distinct progression modes.
