Near Mint to Mint (NM-Mint) = A card can range from Near Mint to Mint and we will grade most of these cards as an 8/10 or 9/10. NM-Mint condition cards may have some minor imperfections such as edge nicks or light scratches. Many times, our NM-Mint cards are brand new, but sometimes they are not.
If you are a very demanding collector, we highly recommend purchasing professionally graded cards (AiGrading, PSA or Beckett (BGS)).
Please note that “grade” cards with high qualities (e.g. MINT (9/10), GEM MINT (9.5/10), and PRISTINE (10/10)), generally sell for a significantly higher price than ungrade cards.
The acceptable range of cards in Near Mint Foil condition includes both cards with no blemishes and cards with some small blemishes.
Lightly Played (LP) = A card in this condition has several imperfections such as chips, small scratches, edge wear, dullness, and/or light scuffs.
Moderately Played (MP) = A card in this condition has obvious play wear, including edge wear, nicks, scratches, dulling, and/or scuffing.
Heavy Played (HP) = A Heavy Played card is one that has been heavily worn (played). This damage may include heavy wear, creases, dents, scratches, folds, scuffs, inking, water damage, clouding, and/or other types of damage.
Damaged (DMG) = A damaged card is damaged in a way that is highly likely to make it unplayable in tournament play, even in a protective sleeve. This damage may include heavy wear, creases, dents, scratches, folds, scuffs, tears, inking, water damage, and/or other types of damage.
