In Port Royale 4 You will take power in a colony, in the role of a young and ambitious governor, eager to learn how to rule and develop his small settlement into a bustling trading city.

Strengthen production chains by connecting multiple islands and create complex trade routes across the Caribbean, meeting the growing needs of your cities. Use the detailed naval map to avoid stormy areas, reefs or shallow waters. Complete missions for your nation's viceroy, earning fame to unlock urban structures, ships and more. Conquer rival nations' cities or hunt down their fleets with a letter of marque, while remaining vigilant against pirates and other privateers.

For the first time in the series, naval battles will be turn-based, with up to 8 ships per combat and tactical maneuvers by the captain that can turn the tide even in the most desperate of situations to achieve glorious victory.
