Resident Evil 6 is the next chapter in the world's most famous horror video game series, coming to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in October, with PC coming later.
Producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi also added that Resident Evil 6 will not only boast extremely large environments and a deeper experience than previous installments, but that the gameplay will take the best from the action and survival horror genres. It will be, in essence, a "dramatic horror", according to Hirabayashi.
One of the three protagonists of the new storyline will be Leon S. Kennedy who, after saving the President's daughter in Resident Evil 4, seems to have developed a confidential relationship with the head of state, destined to end with a probable bullet in the forehead since in the first images of the trailer the president appears, how shall I say, a little pale. Leon however is a real tough guy, once again wearing a fashionable jacket and exhibiting a hardened and time-marked face
Leon's mission isn't exactly clear: apparently a terrorist attack has mutated the population of a small town called Tall Oaks and so here we are again dealing with a town of monsters where danger lurks around every corner.
On the other side of the world, a parallel story unfolds, starring Chris Redfield, now a member of the BSAA (Bio-terrorism Security Assessment Alliance): our historical protagonist finds himself in Hong Kong in a brightly lit and wonderfully realistic neighborhood, under the crossfire of curious masked enemies who could be the terrorists he is hunting.
