Deathloop - PS5

DEATHLOOP is an innovative first-person shooter coming to PlayStation 5 and PC from Arkane Lyon, the acclaimed studio behind the popular Dishonored series. The studio's new IP will feature Arkane's signature gameplay design and open-world adventure. As Colt, players are trapped in a time loop on the mysterious island of Blackreef, cursed to relive the same day over and over again. Their only chance to escape is to break the loop by uncovering valuable intel and assassinating eight key targets before the day resets. But someone is working in the shadows. That assassin, Julianna, is on a mission to assassinate Colt, protect the loop, and start the cycle over again. Players will be able to choose to play as Julianna, turning DEATHLOOP into a deadly game of hunter and prey.

• Classic Arkane gameplay

Arkane's reputation for immersive gameplay gives players the freedom to sneak through levels or go at it guns blazing. Armed with a vast array of supernatural powers and devastating weapons, players will combine these tools of death for spectacular and devastating kills. By carefully choosing your weapons and powers, you will be able to survive in this deadly game of hunter versus prey.

• Exclusive to PlayStation 5

DEATHLOOP is a new IP for a new generation, coming exclusively to PlayStation 5 and PC. The game will take advantage of the console's graphical power to bring Arkane's artistic vision to life, and take advantage of new features like haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, allowing you to experience every encounter.

• Arkane-style single player and deadly multiplayer

DEATHLOOP is Arkane's challenge to seamlessly blend single-player and deadly multiplayer gameplay. Players take control of the story as Colt, hunting down targets on Blackreef Island to break the loop and earn their freedom. Players can also play as rival assassin Julianna, infiltrating another player's campaign to kill Colt and keep him trapped in the loop. Multiplayer is optional, and players can assign control of Julianna to AI.

• Loop = knowledge = power

Each new loop in DEATHLOOP is a chance to learn from mistakes and adapt. Finding clues and hints is crucial to eliminating targets before the day resets. Discovering relationships, learning routines, and gaining information allows players to progress through the loop. Players will apply what they have learned in previous loops to find alternative solutions, violent and non-violent, and devise a plan to reach the targets. If you don't succeed the first time... die, die, die again.

• Blackreef Island: Paradise or Prison?

Arkane is known for its incredible worlds featuring multiple passageways and ever-changing gameplay. DEATHLOOP offers a beautiful 1960s-inspired retro-futuristic setting that is a standalone protagonist. Blackreef may be a land of wonders, but it is also Colt's prison: a decaying world where death has no meaning and its trigger-happy inhabitants are partying forever while caging our protagonist.
