Jump, run and roll across Donkey Kong Island to reclaim DK's beloved banana stash, stolen by the evil Tiki Tak Tribe. Squash enemies, grab banana bunches and ride rockets, rhinos and more in a classic 2D platformer, full of spectacular set pieces and treacherous traps. Use both characters' special abilities to overcome obstacles of all kinds and explore each level to the fullest - put Diddy on DK's shoulders and use his Jet Monkey to carry them both over large gaps, or roll at will and smash through every obstacle in your way.

Collect a variety of collectibles as you traverse the forest, beaches and other exotic locations. Find the letters that spell out the word KONG and locate puzzle pieces hidden in each level to unlock extra content, such as the incredibly challenging Trophy levels. Unlock and complete all of these levels and discover a brand new surprise awaiting you!

Play through the entire game as the awesome duo of DK and Diddy, teaming up with a friend in local wireless play. Bomb opponents with Diddy’s Nut Gun and soar through the air using his Monkey Jet, or subdue your opponents with Donkey Kong’s Ground Pound. Our big guy can even Barrel Roll!

You can choose to relive the adventure just as you remember it in Original Mode, but if the challenge is too much for you, there’s help at hand. A new mode makes things a little easier, giving Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong three hearts instead of the usual two, to prolong the fun! Use your hard-earned Banana Coins to buy helpful items at Cranky Kong’s shop, and get new tools that will save you from falls, allow the Mine Cart and Rocket Barrel to launch a second time, and even let you use a DK Barrel whenever you want.
