In this RPG, you will choose one of three newly discovered Pokémon, Chespin, a Grass-type Pokémon, Fennekin, a Fire-type Pokémon, and Froakie, a Water-type Pokémon, to begin your adventure. Each of them has individual special moves and will gain experience during battles, becoming stronger and eventually evolving.

In Pokémon Y , your Pokémon adventure will take on a new dimension. Every corner of the star-shaped Kalos region comes to life, from the cobblestone streets of Lumiose City to the far reaches of the wild. Lumiose City is a bustling metropolis, and from the iconic towers in the center to the bustling shops filled with customers, you're sure to find plenty to discover and have fun.

There are also some still unknown Pokémon waiting for you to meet. Gogoat is a Grass-type Pokémon, so large that it can carry people on its back, Sylveon is the recently discovered evolution of Eevee, and there is also a mysterious Pokémon, connected in some way to Mewtwo. You will also find Yveltal, a recently discovered Legendary Pokémon.
