This chapter begins in true style Metroid , with Samus' ship docking with a menacing-looking derelict spaceship. But it won't be long before she ventures into the vast worlds of the planet Tallon IV in search of those Metroid-thieving Space Pirates.

Metroid Prime combines the great shooting gameplay you expect from the series Metroid and incredible graphics that seamlessly switch between first-person and third-person perspectives. And that's not all! Samus can choose between two view modes - combat and scanning - to fight and explore her way through the dangerous world of Tallon IV. Plus, Metroid Prime boasts numerous weapons already known in the tradition of Metroid , like the Wave Beam and Freeze Beam, as well as some all-new weaponry. But you'll need more than an impatient trigger finger to win this battle. You'll need to call upon all of Samus's abilities, including special suits that activate new abilities, and the ever-present Morph Ball, to uncover any secrets.
