In Namco's Air Combat, it's up to you to eliminate enemy terrorist forces threatening global prosperity. Intelligence agencies have hinted that their main assault will be by air and air. You'll need to engage in tactical combat and use all means necessary to take down the terrorists and thwart their devious plans.

As you progress through the various missions, you'll earn money that allows you to purchase newer and better planes. This includes numerous aircraft, such as the MiG and the elusive Stealth bomber. Naturally, you'll start with smaller, less powerful planes, then level up as you complete missions and earn more money.

Each mission is different in objective, location, and strategy. Depending on the mission's requirements, you'll need to choose the most suitable aircraft for the task. Some missions require you to escort an important ambassador to safety, while others require you to cut off a city's power supply, put an end to illegal oil smuggling by destroying a refinery, or even destroy a bridge.

Enemy planes attack you from all directions, and you'll need to constantly monitor your ship's radar. Unfortunately, resistance will come from ground forces and battlecruisers. To successfully complete missions, you'll need to stay alert at all times, especially in heated battles like dogfights.
