Many months have passed since the events of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Link, Tetra, and Tetra's band of pirates have set sail and set out to find new lands. They discover a derelict ship in a thick fog. Tetra finds herself in danger when she tries to discover the ship on her own, and Link falls overboard when he tries to save her. He finds himself unconscious on the shore of a mysterious island and is awakened by the voice of a fairy. With the fairy's help, he sets out to find Tetra, traveling through once-familiar waters.

The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass offers intuitive touch controls, innovative puzzles, and new challenges for fans of the video game series. Players new to The Legend of Zelda are given an introduction to the story. But time is running out, and only the Phantom Hourglass can give Link the crucial minutes he needs to survive.

The stylus makes controlling Link easier than ever. Tap the touchscreen to move Link, or slide the stylus to swing his sword. Players can also track the trajectory of Link's boomerang and throw it into hard-to-reach places.
Players can use the map on the top screen to quickly and easily get information, or drag it across the touchscreen to take notes, study enemies, or plot their ship's course while firing cannons.
Compete against a friend via local wireless connection and guide Link through mysterious dungeons to find the Triforce or command the forces that oppose him.
