In the original Resident Evil, players choose to take on the role of one of the STARS (Special Tactics and Rescue Service) members, Chris Redfield or Jill Valentine, who are sent into the city to find the missing Bravo Team. With limited ammunition and survival items available, players must remain calm to survive the various traps and puzzles that await them at each stage of the game. This is paired with the upcoming Resident Evil 0, which takes players back to 1998. Reports of unusual murders on the outskirts of Raccoon City have been mounting. The city's special forces division, STARS, sends their Bravo Team to investigate, including rookie cop Rebecca Chambers, who encounters death row inmate and former Navy Lieutenant Billy Coen. Throughout the game, players take control of both Rebecca and Billy, sometimes switching between the two characters to progress.
