The bewitching Umbra Witch must hunt them through the streets of Tokyo, the mountains of China, and beyond, searching for a way to save the world from this mysterious threat.

A devilish fun

Use Bayonetta's abilities to taunt, torment, and eliminate hordes of homunculi.

Time incoming attacks with the right timing to activate the Time Sabbat, which slows down time, allowing Bayonetta to fight at her own pace.

Bayonetta will also encounter various types of hellish demons with whom she can forge alliances. Equip up to three hellish demons at once and summon them into battle with the powerful Demon Succubus ability to spice up the action even more. Here are some of the demonic friends you can make.

Madam Butterfly

This demon takes the form of a woman who disappeared under tragic circumstances, only to be reincarnated in the underworld.

Take control of these allies to devastate enemies in colossal battles, or summon them during exploration to destroy obstacles that stand in your way. But don't get too carried away—while controlling demons, Bayonetta is vulnerable to attacks.

With Demonic Mimicry, Bayonetta can harness the power of the infernal demons bound to her weapons, unlocking a range of attacks and abilities, each more abominable than the last. Transform into Madam Butterfly and spread your wings in aerial combat, run over enemies as a demonic train, and much more!

Another witch joins the team

The feisty witch Viola is a playable character who plays an important role in Bayonetta's world-spanning adventure.

When she's not busy slashing enemies or blocking attacks with her sword, Viola can summon her moody feline companion, the demon Cheshire, from the good luck charm on her katana.

Play your way

Unfamiliar with the arcane arts? No problem! Choose between Easy, Normal, and Hard difficulty modes and switch between them at any time, or equip the Immortal Puppet accessory to automatically defend yourself and perform elegant combos with the press of a button. For aspiring witches, there's also a Training mode where you can practice your witchy skills and spectacular attacks!

Is things getting a little too intense for you? Turn on angel mode to tone down some of the more explicit elements of this. Bayonetta 3 , for example by changing certain costumes, toning down certain violent action scenes and more.
