Donkey Kong comes to Nintendo Switch in Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, an enhanced version of the game that was acclaimed by critics and fans upon its release on Wii U.

In this adventure, the Kongs must reclaim their island from the clutches of the Vikings of the North Sea. To do so, they will have to set off on a journey across five different islands.
This version includes an easy mode that allows less experienced players to enjoy the adventure in complete relaxation!

While Donkey Kong is in the company of Diddy Kong, Dixie Kong and Cranky Kong in his hut, a fleet of Viking ships approaches Donkey Kong Island.
The Snowmen, an army of animals from the polar regions, spread an icy blanket over the island and Donkey Kong and his friends are catapulted away from their beloved land.
And if that wasn't enough, Donkey Kong can no longer access his beloved supply of bananas!
This is really not acceptable for the king of the jungle, who then decides to set out with his companions to reclaim Donkey Kong Island!

Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze introduced features and functions that were brand new to the franchise, and that had contributed to the game's critical acclaim upon its original release. Here are some of them:
  • The dynamic camera brings a new dimension to the action, a cinematic effect never experienced before
  • Water levels return to the series with new effects and gameplay mechanics.
  • Thanks to their combined super abilities, DK and his partner can (as soon as the appropriate bar has been filled by collecting bananas) transform all enemies on the screen into objects.
  • &nbspNew items allow you to receive new types of help as you play through the levels.

Exclusively for the Nintendo Switch version, a new relaxing mode will be available that allows you to play as Funky Kong. With this character, the player can perform double jumps, soar in the air, perform infinite somersaults and even spin underwater. Thanks to the surfboard, not even the spikes will be able to hurt the character! The mode is perfect for less experienced players or for those who want to enjoy the adventure and the story without worrying too much about the difficulty.

The entire Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze adventure can be played by two players at the same time, who can then work together to reach the end of each level and multiply the fun exponentially. You can play alone or have fun with a friend in two-player co-op mode.&nbsp
