Description
Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! invites fans of the Pokémon universe to embark on a new adventure in a familiar setting. Inspired by Pokémon Yellow, which was originally released for Game Boy in Japan in 1998, this title is designed for players who are just starting out in the world of Pokémon video games and features many of the intuitive gameplay mechanics introduced in the wildly popular Pokémon GO.
In the classic Kanto region, players will set off on an epic adventure alongside Eevee.
Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! offers new ways to play that take advantage of the unique capabilities of the Nintendo Switch, such as the ability to shake the Joy-Con™ controllers to throw Poké Balls to catch Pokémon, or a new two-player mode that lets two friends or family members adventure and battle together.
But the connections between this new title and Pokémon GO don’t end there. The collaboration between GAME FREAK, The Pokémon Company, and Niantic takes innovation to the next level with the ability to connect your copy of Pokémon: Let’s Go Eevee! to Pokémon GO. This way, players will be able to bring Pokémon originally discovered in the Kanto region from Pokémon GO to this new Nintendo Switch game. There will also be a special surprise coming to Pokémon GO in the future that will make this connection even more exciting for Trainers. More details on this will be revealed soon.
Another innovative way to connect the games is the Poké Ball Plus (sold separately). This device can serve as both a Joy-Con controller for playing Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! and a Pokémon GO Plus controller for playing Pokémon GO. The Poké Ball Plus features motion sensors, lights up in different colors, vibrates, and makes sounds. It can even produce the sensation of a Pokémon moving inside when used to catch Pokémon in the two Nintendo Switch games. The Poké Ball Plus is more than just a controller—it will allow players to take one of their Pokémon from Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! with them into their daily lives. In addition to being able to spend time with their favorite Pokémon even when they’re not playing, Trainers can also receive various types of rewards when those Pokémon are returned to the Nintendo Switch games.
