In this thrilling sequel to the acclaimed action title Bayonetta, players will be on the edge of their seats from start to finish. Breathtaking battles and incredible animations keep the action at a constant level throughout multiple scenarios and situations. Fight atop a jet flying between skyscrapers of a city, defeat an angelic monster with your deadly whip wings on the roof of a speeding train, or fight a demonic dragon while scaling the top of a skyscraper.

Born from the forbidden union of the Lumen Sages and the Umbra Witches, the powerful witch Bayonetta comes from the distant past to the present day. With a graceful fighting style and incredible magical powers, she captivates her opponents, then terrifies them in their final moments.
Armed with her weapons and abilities, Bayonetta confounds her enemies with new moves and torture-inducing attacks. Using magic, she can unleash a new ability called Umbra Climax to summon demonic monsters and repeatedly attack with unrelenting force.

Choose between Classic or Touch Controls. Classic Controls represents Bayonetta's unique technical control scheme, a control system that was acclaimed by fans of the first game, and will appeal to new fans of the game as well. Touch Controls, on the other hand, offer a more convenient play style for those new to action games, or those just looking for a slightly different kind of action. Players can use the Wii U GamePad's touch screen to easily manipulate Bayonetta's movements, attacks and defenses.

Bayonetta's old friend Jeanne, also part of the Umbra Witches, enters the game to assist Bayonetta, and to perform combination attacks that will inflict painful damage and torture on her enemies. The off-TV option allows the adventure to be played on the Wii U GamePad screen.
