Seize the truth

December 2021, Tokyo District Court. Akihiro Ehara is accused of groping a woman on a crowded train. A bystander's video footage of his attempt to flee the scene and subsequent arrest is all over the news, and because of this, public opinion is calling for the maximum sentence.

"Three days ago, a body was found in an abandoned building in Yokohama. Have you identified it yet?" he suddenly proclaims as the courtroom erupts in confusion.

Saori Shirosaki, his defense attorney, has no doubt that some crucial details of the situation have been overlooked, since Ehara has not even been tried for the murder. And so she contacts Detective Takayuki Yagami to investigate further.

How could Ehara have committed two crimes at once? Was the sexual assault video just a cover? Did the accused deceive the entire justice system? As more victims emerge and Yagami gets closer to the truth, he is faced with a choice - uphold the law or enforce justice?

Lost Judgment once again puts players in the shoes of lawyer-turned-street detective Takayuki Yagami. Along with his partner, ex-yakuza Masaharu Kaito, the crime-fighting duo are called upon to investigate a seemingly perfect crime whose prime suspect has an airtight alibi.

What begins as a tale of revenge unfolds as a web of intrigue involving several unlikely factions taking advantage of a loophole in the law. But as victims pile up and Yagami reveals the truth, he must choose between upholding the law and exacting justice.
