The charm of Minecraft is in its crude, blocky graphics. Turning a seemingly empty map, you quickly learn to use your trusty pickaxe to chisel away at the environment around you. Not only does this allow you to reconstruct the entire map as you see fit, but it can also generate a number of interesting surprises.
