World-class controls: Control the ball in your possession with the brand new control system that uses:

• Reactive Dribbling: Change direction faster while maintaining control of the ball. Using the left trigger, you can beat opponents at slower speeds thanks to the new dribbling system. Not to mention the new set of feints, tricks and Brazilian-inspired moves that will allow you to fool defenders.
• Precision steps: Improved passing and new animations allow you to deliver the ball to your teammates in a more precise, direct and responsive way. With low crosses, curling outside crosses and personality added to the different throws, moving the ball is more satisfying than ever.

Explosive movement: Change direction with and without the ball to get into space. Players can accelerate, slow down and change direction more quickly both in and out of possession, as well as dribble and touch the ball more precisely at speed.


Set Piece Tactics: The new tactics will require your opponents to take your free kicks from the flanks and corner. Using the directional buttons, you can ask your teammates to attack the near or far post, the edge of the box, or to build up in front of the goalkeeper.

• adidas Ball Physics: EA SPORTS and adidas have collaborated to deliver the most realistic ball physics ever experienced on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Thanks to physics data collected from the adidas Innovation Lab In Herzogenaurach, Germany, the EA SPORTS FIFA development team was able to give the Brazuca, and the other adidas balls in the game, realistic trajectories that take into account the friction of the grass.
• New penalties: Experience the drama of a penalty shootout in a FIFA World Cup match with new save animations and shot balancing. The fate of your nation is in your hands! If a penalty is taken during a match, other players will now be ready to rush into the penalty area to pounce on the rebound. Plus, use the new Goalkeeper Antics , the goalkeeper's antics, to distract the attacker: a new series of animations/tricks including wobbly-knees, matador , and shoot-it-there.

Start from the bottom, work your way up through your country, and lead them through qualification all the way to the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil Final. The new auto-placement system makes the mode more accessible for new players.
• Road to Rio de Janeiro (online): Players move across a map of the 12 Brazilian cities that host the competition, in realistic stadiums reproduced under license. Compete online using any of the 203 national teams to stay in one city or advance to the next, but watch out for relegations. Win in the last of the 12 levels to lift the World Cup at the Maracana in Rio de Janeiro.
• Online FIFA World Cup: Play through the group stage and the World Final. Win seven matches in a row against your online opponents to lift the World Cup.
