Ominous dark clouds are spreading across the sky above the Alola region, the setting of Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon. In these adventures, a grand story unfolds, centered around the Legendary Pokémon Solgaleo, Lunala, and Necrozma. Secrets about Necrozma and the Alola region that were not revealed in previous games will come to light.

...and explore worlds beyond!
In Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon, you can explore the various worlds found through Ultra Wormholes. Inside an Ultra Wormhole, there are countless warp holes that lead to different worlds. Try to explore different worlds by passing through these warp holes. You can even go to the home worlds of the mysterious Ultra Beasts!

Meet the Ultra Reconnaissance Team
The Ultra Recon Squad is a mysterious group from a world beyond an Ultra Wormhole. What purpose have they come to the Alola region for? Players will see the story told from slightly different perspectives in each version, with Dulse and Zossie (pictured left) playing a central role in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Soliera and Phyco taking on that role in Pokémon Ultra Moon.

Discover over 400 Pokémon
In Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon, you’ll be able to discover over 400 Pokémon, many of which were not available in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon. Some of these Pokémon will only appear depending on which version of the game you’re playing. For example, in the same patch of tall grass where Houndoom appears in Pokémon Ultra Sun, Manectric will appear in Pokémon Ultra Moon. You’ll also encounter new Ultra Beasts on your adventures in the Alola region!

Necrozma’s New Story: In Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon, a grand story unfolds, centered around the Legendary Pokémon Solgaleo, Lunala, and Necrozma. Secrets about Necrozma and the Alola region that were not revealed in previous games will come to light.
Solgaleo and Lunala's Role: Solgaleo and Lunala appeared in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon. In those games, they were revealed to be Pokémon of great strength. It was also revealed that Cosmog evolved into Cosmoem, which would evolve into Solgaleo in Pokémon Sun and Lunala in Pokémon Moon.
New Look for a New Adventure: The main characters' outfits have changed since their first journey through the Alola region, just in time for a new adventure! Choose a Pokémon to become your partner and set off on a journey through the world of Alola!
New Z-Moves!: In Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, the main character wears a Z-Ring so that he can use Z-Moves. In Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon, the main character will wear a Super Z-Ring, which can use even more Z-Moves than the Z-Ring! And the games also feature new Z-Moves for some Pokémon!
