History

The legendary Elysian Box is better known as Pandora's Box because of its supposed power to kill anyone who opens it. But is it true, or is it just another ancient legend?

Professor Layton does not believe this myth, but one day he receives a letter from his dear friend Dr. Schrader, who tells him that he has located the box and is preparing to open it.

The professor smells trouble. He and his assistant rush to Dr. Schrader, but they find him already dead. Was it the Elysian Box or is there something much bigger behind this tragedy?

The only clue the Professor and Luke have is a mysterious ticket for the Molentary Express train. Strangely, however, the ticket does not indicate a destination... where is the train headed?
