SSX3 (USED) - PS2 (RESTART)

The SSX the original was a wild success, the sequel, SSX Tricky , added new characters, stunts and tracks to the mix. Now, SSX3 elevates the series to dizzying heights. While Tricky was essentially a 'remix' of the original game, for this third incarnation EA went back to the drawing board and introduced a completely new gameplay structure, new stunts and new challenges. The game will also have the series' trademark multi-colored art style and intrinsic gameplay, but SSX3 It is a mammoth product compared to its predecessors.

The first thing that catches the eye is SSX is that it offers a lot more choice in terms of what to do. In the previous two games, there was an old-school menu. You selected an athlete and a track, chose Race or Showoff and off you went. In SSX3 , once you’ve selected an athlete, you’ll be abruptly dropped onto a massive mountain made up of three towering peaks. From here, you’ll be able to search for Races, Big Air events, Slope Style events, Super Pipe events, collectibles, and the all-new Big Challenges. Your athlete also comes with a personal digital assistant that can be used to catch a ski lift or quickly access specific events.

Once you select a Race or Slope Style event (formerly Showoff), everything goes pretty much as usual, except now you have an unprecedented arsenal of stunts at your disposal. In particular, based on Tony Hawk's book, SSX3 features stunts on flat and grind surfaces that produce an excellent effect and increase your chances of earning points. In addition, new events add an extra dimension to the established formula of SSX . In particular, the Big challenges (there are 100 of them on each peak) bring an impressive variety to the game and test every aspect of your snowboarding skills. The progress made is appropriately recognized with a variety of trophies, medals and extra points in order to increase your athletic skills.

Visually, the series SSX has made huge strides. While it hasn't given up on its colorful environments and quirky characters (six favorites are from previous editions, four are new hopefuls), SSX3 is much more sophisticated than its predecessors. In particular, enormous attention has been paid to the all-important special effects and it can be said that SSX3 features some of the most beautiful weather and snow effects ever seen.
