STUNTMAN PS2 (RESTART)

Drive on the sidewalk, crash into a bar on the side of the road, roll your car down a cliff...and all for money. Yes, it's time to forget the Highway Code and drive recklessly to please the director, because now you're in the movies and you're the stuntman. Start your career as a rookie working in a cheap movie, but if you build a reputation as a real daredevil in front of the camera and in the Stunt Arena you could end up working on the next blockbuster action movie, risking your life to make the stars look so good.

Don't worry too much, they won't ask you to set yourself on fire, throw you out of a window or jump off the Empire State Building to hit a glass of water - in Stuntman you will specialize in driving vehicles (which can catch fire, be smashed into windows or knocked off tall buildings). Essentially, Stuntman is a third-person driving game with a pedigree from the makers of the Driver series. The game is split into six 'films' that chart your rise from low-budget productions to multi-billion dollar blockbusters that crowd the theaters. You start with a 1970s London gangster movie called Toothless in Wapping, and if you're good enough, you'll move on to The Dukes Of Hazzard and Indiana Jones-inspired films, before finally arriving at the ultimate test, Simon Crowe's James Bond film. Each film is broken up into a set number of scenes, each of which in turn contains stunts to perform - such as smashing a pile of boxes, cornering with the handbrake, flying off a ramp into water. You have to complete each scene quickly and please the director if you want to proceed. If you can control the car well, the film can be produced and you'll be rewarded with an exclusive view of the trailer of all your stunts. And then it's on to the next film.

Occasionally, you'll have to make a name for yourself by impressing the crowd in the Stunt Arena just like Evel Kneviel. Here, you'll have to perform stunts like jumping a truck over 10 cars in a row, or jumping through three hoops of fire in a sports car. Pulling it off will not only earn you the adoration of the crowd, but also a contract for your next movie. You can also enter the Stunt Arena just for practice, as it's a game within a game where you can create your own stunts and try to kill yourself before it happens in the main game. Additional ramps, obstacles, and other "trinkets" can be unlocked by performing stunts both in the arena and in the main game mode.

Stuntman has everything that the biggest movies have to offer - car chases, explosions, death-defying jumps, humor and full frontal nudity.
