Control some of the world's largest and most dangerous creatures, including a giant gorilla, a monstrous insect, and armored robots the size of skyscrapers. Engage in furious combat in fully destructible 3D environments filled with traffic, innocent people, and military defenses. Impale rival monsters using metal pylons, throw taxis to test your aim, and use metal beams to incapacitate your enemies. Pick up your opponent and hurl them into a distant skyscraper, then fight your way through the debris to continue the battle.

The wealth of detail helps to recreate the atmosphere of classic Hollywood movies with monsters fighting in modern urban centers full of skyscrapers, in cities colored by the lights of casinos or near dangerous volcanoes.

Destroy everything in your path, accompanied by an epic soundtrack, deafening sirens and screaming pedestrians. Get close to your opponent for intense melee using combination attacks or use the distance to attack your enemy with laser beams or, more simply, with the remains of the buildings you have just destroyed. Learn to control the "violence" of each monster and launch special attacks powerful enough to knock down 30-meter-tall beasts. Unleash natural disasters like tidal waves and earthquakes to cause even more destruction.

Command your chosen monster in a variety of game modes, including the single-player Adventure mode, where you battle to discover your creature’s origins. Take on three enemies at once in an unprecedented battle in Free-for-all or Endurance modes. Challenge a friend and two computer-controlled monsters in the two-player Free-for-all and Elimination modes, as well as various Minigames.

War of the Monsters It features an innovative split-screen view that transforms into a single shot when fighters get close. Secret monsters, costumes, arenas, and minigames to discover throughout the game dramatically increase longevity.
