Ezio Auditore da Firenze is a young Italian nobleman who seeks to learn the ways of the Assassins in order to exact revenge after his family falls victim to a deadly fraud. He is a womanizer, a free soul, but his personality also has a very human side. Through him, the player becomes a master assassin.

Fifteenth-century Italy was not so much a unified country as a collection of city-states where families with political influence and financial means began to take control of cities like Florence and Venice. This journey through some of the world's most beautiful cities takes place in a period considered the birth of culture and art, but always accompanied by corruption, greed, and murder.

Freedom Regained: The player will be able to play missions whenever and however they want. The open world brings back the freedom of movement of the first part and adds new elements such as swimming and even flying. New game options ensure that the player can play the way they want.
Dynamic Masses: The player discovers a living world where each character also represents an opportunity for the player. Disappearing into the crowd makes Ezio's tasks easier, and working with other characters can bring both rewards and unexpected consequences.
Becoming a Master Assassin: Skills must be honed to become a Master Assassin, being able to use new weapons, disarm and use weapons against enemies, or overwhelm enemies with hidden blades.
