Ratchet & Clank It was one of the first platformers to implement action and shooter elements, also offering several minigames. The protagonist is Ratchet, sometimes aided by his companion Clank. The adventure is in third person and features a fully explorable world.

Ratchet, a mechanic of the Lombax race from the planet Veldin and his friend Clank, a robot, have the mission to stop the fearsome Drek, whose intentions are to build a new planet for his race, the Blarg, as their home world, Orxon, is irreparably polluted. To do this, the executive chairman Drek will use the pieces of all the other worlds in the Solana Galaxy, while Ratchet, to stop him, will try to contact Captain Qwark, the most famous hero in the galaxy. But when they arrive at Qwark's planet, it turns out that he works for Drek and is trying to get rid of them. Drek will stop at nothing to achieve his goal and, once the artificial planet is completed, he will also create a new weapon, the "Deplanetizer", with which to remove the world positioned in the best orbit, to then place his own on it. Ironically, after much wandering, Ratchet will discover that this planet is his own, Veldin. He will also discover that Orxon was actually polluted by Drek himself, who would have earned millions of bolts if the artificial planet had been inhabited.

You will finally be able to unleash your full destructive potential and raze every kind of resistance to the ground, always counting on the help of your valid robot assistant, Clank, who throughout the adventure will do his best to help you against your enemies.

In this tale of interplanetary espionage and adventure, Ratchet & Clank sees weapons expert Ratchet and his robotic sidekick Clank join forces for another mission to the Lombax home planet of Veldin, this time to save all organic life in the universe. And in addition to following the game's storyline as you guide the wisecracking duo, you can also play online with a group of friends in the multiplayer mode.
