  • The PS2 and Wii versions of Alone in the Dark follow the same storyline as the game developed by Eden Games for Xbox 360 and Windows, but were developed by a different company with their own vision of how the game should be implemented.

    The level structure, gameplay mechanics, and character appearance (Sarah in particular) are sometimes very different, as these versions contain conceptual elements that were omitted in the other game. The first-person view is also mostly unused, and fire can be turned off in third-person mode, for example. The basic aspects of the script remain, but this can be seen as a different "what-if" installment in the series, rather than a canonical entry as in the other version. The endings seem different but remain essentially the same.
