The Settlement Defense Front (SetDef) represents a separatist rebel group that broke away from the United Nations Space Alliance during a war of secession years ago. In the world of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare , our planet has been depleted of its resources due to population growth and industrial expansion. The inhabitants of Earth now rely on colonies scattered throughout the solar system to extract fuel and other resources from planets and asteroids. The SetDef is a fascist power, made up of brutal and radical militants, hardened by the extreme conditions of life in the environments of other planets. They seek to gain control of these outposts and their wealth, tightening their grip on the countries of Earth. After years of stalemate, diplomatic relations are more tense than ever, ready to jump at the first opportunity and start an all-out war.
