In the direct sequel to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, Captain Price and Task Force 141 face the ultimate threat. Vladimir Makarov, an ultranationalist war criminal, is expanding his power across the globe, forcing Task Force 141 to fight like never before.

Fighting is about choices: during a mission, you can use different loadouts and take different paths. In addition to the classic cinematic missions of the Call of Duty Campaign, in Modern Warfare III you will find open combat missions that will give you more freedom of choice. There is no single possible solution: it is up to you to decide whether to act stealthily or to launch yourself on every enemy in sight.

Modern Warfare III celebrates the 20th anniversary of Call of Duty with one of the largest collections of Multiplayer maps ever, including both fan-favorite classics and brand new maps. All 16 maps available at the launch of the original Modern Warfare 2 (2009) have been updated with new modes and gameplay features and will be available at launch. Additionally, 12 all-new 6v6 base maps will arrive with subsequent seasons.

Modern Warfare III also features new Ground War maps with innovative new gameplay spaces, as well as the epic return, in an enhanced version, of the popular War mode that debuted in 2017’s Call of Duty: WWII.

NEW OPEN WORLD ZOMBIES MODE

For the first time ever, join forces with other squads to survive and battle hordes of the undead in the largest Call of Duty Zombies map ever. In Modern Warfare Zombies (MWZ), you’ll find a new Treyarch Zombies storyline with missions, core Zombies features, and secrets to uncover. Prepare for an open-world PvE survival experience, pitting you against some of the biggest villains in Call of Duty history.
