Take a trip into the past
Explore a vast, untouched region and prepare to make new discoveries in Pokémon Legends: Arceus . Observe, catch, and study wild Pokémon in this massive action RPG set in a distant past when people and Pokémon rarely lived in close harmony.
Hisui's Call
During your adventure, you will travel across the majestic landscapes of Hisui, searching for Pokémon to study in order to create the region's first-ever Pokédex. This region, which in Pokémon Shining Diamond And Pokémon Shining Pearl will be called Sinnoh, home to natural wonders, breathtaking vistas, and a large number of wild Pokémon.
The enigmatic Arceus is said to hold the key to a strange phenomenon plaguing certain Pokémon in this region. But what role will this Legendary Pokémon play in your adventure?
Team Galassia welcomes you
Team Galactic is a group of people from all walks of life who have come to Hisui to study this mysterious region. As a new recruit to the Team Galactic Research Team, your job is to travel the length and breadth of Hisui to encounter as many species of Pokémon as possible.
At your side will be one of these Pokémon, which you will have to choose at the beginning of the adventure - Rowlet, Oshawott and Cyndaquil.
When duty calls, set out from Jubilife Village, Team Galactic's main base, and venture into one of Hisui's biomes to begin your research.
Field research
From dense forests to snow-capped mountains, hidden among tall grass, in swamps, and atop trees, wild Pokémon roam freely throughout Hisui.
When they notice researchers wandering through their habitats, Pokémon will react differently—some may greet you cheerfully, while others may become frightened or even attack on sight. Try keeping a safe distance to study their behavior and determine the best approach.
Sneak up on your target, duck into the tall grass so they don't see you, and then, at the right moment, aim well and throw your Poké Ball. If the wild Pokémon doesn't pop out of its Poké Ball right after you hit it, you're done!
Remember, though, that your mission isn’t just about catching Pokémon. Complete each Pokédex entry by completing a series of Pokédex tasks that will increase your member rank, allowing you to access new areas.
Let the fight begin!
When you encounter a wild Pokémon, throw a Poké Ball containing one of your Pokémon to start a battle.
In battle, the number of actions you can perform, and their order, depends on various factors, such as your Pokémon's stats. To gain the upper hand, you must alternate between two different styles - the Quick Technique and the Strong Technique.
Quick Technique - Your Pokémon becomes faster and attacks twice in a row, but at the cost of some power.
Powerful Technique - Your Pokémon's attacks become more powerful, but you may have to wait longer before using their next move.
Make the most of these two techniques to triumph in battle. This approach will prove especially useful in battles with the Captains who protect the region's most revered Pokémon, called Special Pokémon.
Tricks of the trade
Field research is no walk in the park. Visit one of the base camps scattered around Hisui to recharge your batteries and give your Pokémon a rest after a long day of adventuring. These outposts have crafting tables that you can use to craft items like Poké Balls and Orb Balls with the materials you've gathered.
Give your tired legs some relief by summoning special Pokémon that will allow you to hop on their backs. With their help, you can traverse vast landscapes and large bodies of water with ease, or even soar through the sky to enjoy the breathtaking views!
A blessing... or a curse?
The Hisui region is home to Pokémon known as Royal Pokémon, which the locals respect deeply. But recently, a strange phenomenon has caused the Royal Pokémon to suddenly become angry, making them incredibly difficult to handle. As a member of the Research Team, it's up to you to calm their anger.
Also watch out for Alphas, which are larger-than-normal angry Pokémon with glowing red eyes. They will attack researchers without hesitation when they spot you. If they spot you, run away or challenge them to a Pokémon battle!
