Dead Island (USED) - PS4 (RESTART)

Dead Island It's the zombie game you have in your head. It's the conversation you had with your mates about whether it would be better to grab the hedge trimmer or the cricket bat from the garage in case of a zombie attack.

Dead Island It doesn't make you cold like Left 4 Dead or qualified to fight zombies like Resident Evil. It doesn't make it clear that zombies want to eat your brain like Dead Rising does.

Rather, Dead Island takes you to a scenario where zombies are on the rampage (or amble, depending on which zombies you encounter) on an island with a believable level of resources and to go to an open map and challenges you to survive.

That's the structure of the game - you talk to folk, you get quests, you complete missions, you wander the island of the dead. It's a case of finding your own way to survive, which includes what types of weapons you should use. You can't just arm yourself with a bat and a shotgun at the start of the game and move on - for one thing, that kind of desirable gear is hard to come by, and for two, it wears out. It's a bit reminiscent of Dead Rising, though, is the inclusion of workbenches where you can modify, repair, and upgrade your weapons. There's also a skill tree for you to navigate, so you can hone your zombie-fighting skills.
