The adventure begins with the protagonist Ryudo (a Geohound, a sort of mercenary), who after having put some lizardmen to flight, receives another assignment in favor of the forces of the Good of Granas. Ryudo, although reluctantly due to the little money offered, accepts the proposal of the Church of Granas, which consists of acting as a bodyguard to Elena, one of its Priestesses.

Once he learns the background from Elena, however, Ryudo understands that it will not be such a simple mission. The village of Carbo has been infested by disturbing and threatening monsters that appear at night. Elena, from now on aided by the valiant Ryudo, is called to free the inhabitants from these strange presences through a ceremony at the "Garmia Tower". Fate wants that during the ritual Elena is possessed by the evil forces of Valmar.

During the adventure, Ryudo and Elena will be joined by four other different characters - Sky, the hawk that follows Ryudo everywhere, and who represents the voice of his conscience, Millenia - diabolical and intriguing, Mareg - a beast with a heart of gold, Roan - a little prince far from home and in search of objects that remind him of his mother. Each with a different personality and past, therefore, but now all engaged in the race towards the cathedral of Granas, the only and last source of salvation for poor Elena.
