The latest chapter in the hugely popular series Mario Party features new game modes, boss fights, and more playable characters from the Mushroom Kingdom to immerse you in Mario Party 9 , the party no one can miss!

Mario Party 9 encourages you to think faster than your opponents to collect the most Mini Stars and defeat Bowser. Bowser and his friends have stolen all the Mini Stars in the sky, and it's up to you to try to get them all back and become a Superstar!

Party Mode completely changes the rules of Mario Party, allowing up to four players to race around the board in a single vehicle. Players take turns as the vehicle leader, rolling dice to keep the party going, hoping to land in a lucky spot. Vehicles also help streamline gameplay by keeping everyone involved in the action. Strategies include finding the best routes and positions during your turn, while trying to push your opponents into less fortunate spots. In this mode, you’ll have to work both with and against your opponents as you try to progress through 80 different minigames to recover Bowser’s stolen Mini Stars and rebuild the starry sky.

Mario Party 9 includes 80 new minigames, accessible to all Mario fans and that will see players making pizzas, escaping haunted houses and racing on snowmobiles. When playing on a board, the type of space you land on will determine the type of minigame you will play.

Boss Battle mode is a minigame where up to four players must put aside any grudges or differences and combine their skills to defeat a series of classic Mario bosses. Throughout the adventure, you'll collect Mini Stars and work toward the final battle against Mario's greatest foe, the fearsome Bowser. Don't think of it as a team game, though - while you must work with others to defeat the bosses, you'll earn Mini Stars based on your ranking and the amount of damage you've caused the boss. If you land the finishing blow, you'll earn a bonus that increases your chances of winning.

Modes that let you play different minigames without completing a board, giving you the ability to enjoy the action whenever and however you want. You and three other friends or family members can try to become champions in one of the minigames in Free Play Minigames, or try the Extra Mode that includes Goombowling and the puzzle game What Color Are 6?.

This chapter features many of the Mushroom Kingdom's most beloved characters, and introduces some never-before-seen challengers to the world of Mario Party . Choose your favorite and keep the rivalry alive between you and your friends with both the main game and the fun minigames. You decide how many players to challenge - will you play alone or with three friends at your side?
