Experience the power of Superstar X-Factors, a revolutionary system that lets you utilize unique player abilities that make stars feel like stars and have more impact on the ice than ever before. Reserved for the league's elite players, Superstars X-Factors separates the wheat from the chaff, making Superstars feel like their real-life counterparts.

The game features two types of Superstar X-Factor abilities: game-changing Zone Abilities and powered-up Superstar Abilities. Each player has a zone ability that defines them, as well as a secondary set of superstar abilities.

The actual function of a Superstar X-Factor ability is always the same, but Zone Abilities provide a different boost than Superstar Abilities. True to the game, Superstar X-Factors is based on the traits of the league's top players.

Whether it's a slap shot, a pinpoint pass, an explosive counterattack, or lightning-fast reflexes in front of goal, Superstar X-Factor's abilities cover every position on the ice and bring a new level of strategic, high-level competition to the game.

• Area Skills - Players have a zone ability that defines them and gives them a unique ability that sets them apart from the competition. Zone abilities are always active and will activate automatically under the right conditions. For example, a zonal ability that improves long passes activates as soon as a player plays a long pass (but has no effect on short passes). All zone abilities are only available to a limited number of players. In some cases they are even single-player only, giving some players an ability that no other player has.
• Superstar Skills - All Superstar X-Factor players also receive a Superstar skill set. These are weaker than area skills, but provide a skill increase for the respective skill area.
• Superstar X-Factori in game modes - Superstar X-Factors brings elite skills to life across all major game modes like Hockey Ultimate Team, World of Chel, Franchise, and Be a Pro. Superstar X-Factors offers completely new strategic possibilities and brings a breath of fresh air to the most popular game modes.
