When a colorless Toad is sent by someone to Princess Peach, our hero Mario sets out to Prism Island, a paper paradise whose color is fading and that needs your help. Together with your new sidekick, Tinto, and a clever new tool, the Lightning Hammer, you must restore the color and track down the culprit of this rather curious crime.

Get started on the cutting

As you travel across sun-baked beaches and boiling volcanoes, look for Vernistellars, big and small - and you'll be able to open up new levels and even entire areas of Prism Island. In this world, everything is made of paper, and that means anything is possible! If an obstacle blocks your path, clear it away with the paper-cutting technique and use other clever tricks to make your way through the papery puzzles.

Enemies to discard

As enemies approach, challenge them in turn-based battles that require timing and strategy. Select Battle Cards, charge them with color using the Wii U Gamepad's touch screen (not included), then throw them at the TV to deal damage to your enemies! There are a variety of Battle Cards at your disposal - some will summon nothing less than enemies to your aid, while others will summon unlikely objects (such as fire extinguishers and hairdryers) with powerful effects.
