After a 100-year slumber, Link awakens alone in a world he no longer remembers. Now, the legendary hero must explore vast and dangerous lands to regain his memories before Hyrule is lost forever. Armed with only what he can find, Link sets out to find the answers and resources he will need to survive.

Discover the world around you
Explore Hyrule however you like: You can climb towers and mountains in search of new destinations, and use a mysterious item called the Sheikah Tablet to see a map of Hyrule and locate points of interest. With such a large world to explore, Link will need some help getting around. Luckily, there are plenty of options. Link can quickly travel great distances on horseback, sail across Hyrule on rafts, or use his shield to slide down slopes. And don't forget his paraglider!

Fight for your kingdom
Upon awakening, Link finds himself unarmed and defenseless, but by relying on his wits, he can find many weapons to use in combat. These items, however, wear out over time, so he will have to replace them frequently.

Be ready for anything
Hunt for game, gather fruits and vegetables, or attack enemy camps to feed our hero. You can also learn some tasty recipes! These new dishes don't just serve to please Link's taste buds; they can also heal him and improve his abilities. Link can also wear some very stylish outfits, but dressing properly can help him defend himself from the elements or enemy fire. There are many different outfits, from snow suits to armor, but be careful: if you wear metal clothing during a thunderstorm, you could get electrocuted!
