Set in an ancient world inspired by that of the Maori, The Mark of Kri sees dark forces summon six parts of an evil spell that would cause evil to dominate all known lands. Only Rau, a powerful warrior, can stand against the darkness. With the help of the faithful falcon Kuzo, you must control Rau and use strength, strategy, and cunning to defeat the forces of evil.

The Mark of Kri is a third-person adventure that mixes stealth and typical fighting game action. Set in a graphically spectacular cartoon world similar to that of a Disney movie (many of the artists are ex-Disney employees and Don Bluth), this game may seem like a title for children, but the reality is very different. Despite the cartoon-style animations, The Mark of Kri does not skimp on violence - limbs are chopped off, faces are smashed and enemies are stabbed quite explicitly. To further the bloodshed, The Mark of Kri adopts a unique combat system where multiple opponents can be hit with a single move, thanks to the icons representing the various buttons (Circle, Square, etc.) present above their heads. Press the corresponding button and Rau will perform an attack on that enemy, so that it is possible to perform combinations on multiple opponents that would make even Bruce Lee pale. In addition to the moves for close combat with fists, sword and spear, Rau can eliminate guards with his bow. One hit, one dead enemy - you just need to be careful.

You can send Kuzo to scout ahead of you, to activate switches, collect objects, read ancient hieroglyphics and even distract guards, but in the end it will be up to you to make your way through the forces of evil like a true warrior.
