After the planet Fleed was destroyed by the Vega Empire, Daisuke takes refuge on our planet. Welcomed and adopted by Genzo Umon, he lives on the Shirakaba farm. As Vega's invasion of Earth is imminent, Daisuke will defend planet Earth with the help of Grendizer, the titanic robot hidden in the depths of Genzo Umon's observatory. With the help of Kôji Kabuto, the prince of planet Fleed will constantly repel Vegas' attacks and fight its terrible robots, the Monstronef, sent to destroy it. Play as Umon Daisuke and his colossal robot as you fight in epic battles with multiple gameplay modes: Piloting the Spazer (a flying module that houses Goldrake), vertical shooter in Kôji Kabuto's TFO, and third-person action/combat controlling Goldrake.
