This prequel to the long-running series set in the Japanese underworld introduces protagonist Kazuma Kiryu and series regular Goro Majima, who find themselves battling it out between Tokyo and Osaka as they rise through the ranks of the Yakuza. Along the way, players have the chance to interact with all the vices that 1988 Japan has to offer: from discos and hostess clubs to classic SEGA arcades, there are tons of distractions to indulge in in this richly detailed, neon world.

At its core, Yakuza 0 is a classic 3D fighting game where players roam the streets of Tokyo and Osaka and engage in battle with all manner of thugs and villains. Featuring a fascinating combat system that allows players to switch between 3 different fighting styles on the fly, Yakuza 0 offers fluid, seamless combat that is easy to pick up and a joy to master. Fight using everything at your disposal, including objects around you like bicycles, street signs, and car doors, to generate crushing combos and savage takedowns.
